Job Summary

To Maintain general stock movements and storekeeping. The Warehouse Officer is responsible for all stock movements, inventories and housekeeping in the warehouse.

Job Details

  • To manage the stock movements
  • Arrange and store materials / Spare parts properly in the different containers upon delivery
  • Dispatch Materials / Spare parts as required by vessels
  • Report on non -availability and follow up on Purchase Request not Fullfilled in full
  • Keep the stock Movements up to date into Oracle
  • Archive and Store all the physical documentation related to the Warehouse Stock Movement
  • Participate it into the Inventory Count during the spot and yearly counts 
  • Collect used spare part from the vessels • Re-dispatch the used spare part to appropriate technical team for overhauling • Arrange the spare parts overhauled properly in warehouse in the appropriate area
  • Reduce waste of spares. Avoid overhauled spare parts unavailability and to minimize the use of new spare part
  • To maintain the warehouse tidiness, container and jetty areas and orderly arrangement of materials and good house keeping Expected Outcomes:
  • Good and Safe Store Keeping
  • Respect of Basic Maintenance Standards and compliance with Health and Safety regulations
  • Performing a daily inspection of containers, the warehouse floor
  • Keep the work area clean and tidy
  • Coordinating and Maintaining any materials and equipment affected to Warehouse Unit

Requirements

  • Bsc / HND in Purchasing Supply Chain or Social Sciences
  • Professional Certificate in Warehousing/ any other Related certification
  • Minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Warehousing, Stock Management and/or Supply Chain. Preferred experience in Marine & Logistics Industry
